Terrence K. McHugh

President & CEO -- Commercial Alliance is led by President and CEO Terrence McHugh, a respected leader in commercial lending practices. With over 30 years of direct experience in commercial banking, McHugh fosters collaboration across Commercial Alliance owners and affiliates to drive strong and stable portfolios today and into the future. McHugh previously held leadership positions in commercial lending with banks with more than $10 Billion in holdings including TCF Bank and Michigan National Bank.

 

Laura Szpont

Vice President Credit Manager – Laura leads the team that reviews and underwrites each and every loan package, working with members to offer training for preparing and finding successful loans and how to mitigate risk.

 

Dean Cavis & Ed Thelen

Vice President Loan Officers – Dean and Ed Partner with credit union members to manage both new loans and existing loans throughout the lifecycle. Dean and Ed both come from commercial loan officer leadership positions and help provide credit unions with the guidance and support needed to establish and grow business lending programs.

 

Commercial Alliance is one of 17 US CUSOs in the Regional CUSO Alliance (RCA) that works together to identify and solve upcoming regulatory or product issues around the country.
